Performance of my new MacBook Air with an M1 chip is so refreshing. GPU is amazing. Timebox 3D collages like this easily run at 60 frames-per-second in full screen (vs about 25 fps for my old 2018 MacBook Pro).
Many Thanks Kati Kariko!
If you haven't heard about Kati Kariko you need to know this - she is one of the superheros of Covid-19 vaccine development.
The New York Times has a great article about her and her work on the the vaccine.
"Her work, with her close collaborator, Dr. Drew Weissman of the University of Pennsylvania, laid the foundation for the stunningly successful vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna."
Fortunately for all of us she persevered through many personal and professional challenges to solve the puzzle to make the vaccine.
"On Nov. 8, the first results of the Pfizer-BioNTech study came in, showing that the mRNA vaccine offered powerful immunity to the new virus. Dr. Kariko turned to her husband. “Oh, it works,” she said. “I thought so.”
We're grateful!

A Drone Flies Into a Bar
The video titled "Right Up Our Alley" is amazing and has been called out as a remarkable cinematic achievement: "a continuous take, shot at high velocity, in tight spaces and without digital effects."
It's also amusing to listen in on the conversations overheard by the drone. Of course, quotes from the movie "The Big Lebowski" are heard.
The intent of the video is to document businesses in Minnesota threatened by the pandemic. We think it's quite successful and being Midwest natives we would love to get together with a gang of friends, have a few beers and bowl a few games. Heaven!
We remain optimistic! Have a great weekend friends and stay safe out there!
